Closure of UNMIL

The United Nations Mission in Liberia was established in October 2003 to support for the implementation of a ceasefire agreement and peace process, and to assist with the maintenance and restoration of law and order throughout Liberia. The mission successfully completed its mandate on 30 March 2018.

Coffee Break on Friday, January 12, 2018 hosted the following persons:
Harold Aidoo / Executive Director Institute for Research and Democratic Development (IREDD) . The Institution has been calling on incoming national leadership to step up the fight against corruption
Robert Wilson /Communications Director National Transit Authority (NTA) . He disclosed that all of the institution’s buses are grounded due to the lack of operational funds.
Roosevelt Woods / An official National Civil Society Human Rights Platform . The platform has stressed the importance of the promotion of the culture of human rights as the country braces for a new political leadership
Aloysius Taylor / Project Manager Kids Education Engagement Project (KEEP) . The has launched a campaign to promote accountability in the education sector
