Closure of UNMIL

The United Nations Mission in Liberia was established in October 2003 to support for the implementation of a ceasefire agreement and peace process, and to assist with the maintenance and restoration of law and order throughout Liberia. The mission successfully completed its mandate on 30 March 2018.

<p><strong>Coffee Break</strong> today featured the following guests: <strong>Sam Collins</strong>-LNP Spokesperson as he updates on protocols for the arrival of Ghanaian President Nana Akufo-Addo to Liberia on Friday May 26; <strong>Edward Kemokai</strong>-Head of Information &amp; Communications-Liberia Refugee Repatriation and Resettlement Commission-LRRRC speaks about a proposed local integration plan for Ivorian refugees opting to locally integrate into the Liberian society; <strong>Benedict Roberts</strong>-Head of ECOWAS National Office says Liberia will on May 28 host the 21st ECOWAS Administration and Finance Committee Meeting; <strong>Pilate Johnson</strong>-Head of the Catholic Justice and Peace Commission-JPC talks about a partnership to set up the Liberia Elections Observers Network; <strong>Eddie Jarwolo</strong>-Executive Director/National Youth Movement for Transparent Elections-NAYMOTE releases findings of his organization&rsquo;s survey on public impression regarding the work of the legislature; and<strong> Isaac Redd</strong>-Director of Communications/House of Representatives says the lower house has passed the mental health bill.</p>
