Closure of UNMIL

The United Nations Mission in Liberia was established in October 2003 to support for the implementation of a ceasefire agreement and peace process, and to assist with the maintenance and restoration of law and order throughout Liberia. The mission successfully completed its mandate on 30 March 2018.

<p style="text-align: justify;"><strong>Inside The Legislature</strong> discusses legislative issues, including the workings of the Senate and House of Representatives; the three cardinal roles of the Legislature which are Law-making, Representation and Oversight; the enactment and passage of bills, among others. One of them, which is the passage of the Land Rights Act, is being discussed. As the outcry for the passage of the Land Rights Act gathers pace, what are the Issues, Rewards and Challenges?</p>
