Closure of UNMIL

The United Nations Mission in Liberia was established in October 2003 to support for the implementation of a ceasefire agreement and peace process, and to assist with the maintenance and restoration of law and order throughout Liberia. The mission successfully completed its mandate on 30 March 2018.

<p style="text-align: justify;">This week’s edition of Palava featured efforts at controlling rape in the country. Despite stringent efforts at battling the menace, rape continues to be perpetrated by some evil minded individuals in the society.<br>Guests on the talk show were Cllr. John Gabriel, head of the SGBV Unit at the Ministry of Justice and Mrs., Linda Barrolle Simgbey and Teneh Johnson of the same Unit.</p>
