Libreville, 27 July 2026 – As part of UNOCA’s continued engagement in support of ongoing efforts being led by the Chadian Government and the various national stakeholders in Chad to address security challenges in the region, Special Representative of the Secretary-General of the United Nations and Head of the United Nations Office for Central Africa (UNOCA), Mohamed El-Amine Souef, is today in N’Djamena for a mission of a few days.
This visit, which is in the context of the regional mandate of UNOCA, is SRSG Souef’s initial visit to N’Djamena since his assumption of office in June this year.
During the visit, SRSG Souef will hold consultations with Chadian national authorities as well as key partners and other stakeholders.
